Become a Partner in Mission

Picture
The Apostle Paul called the coming of Jesus Christ as “in the fullness of time” in order to redeem us and make us children of God (Gal. 4:4-5).  There is no better time than now to transform the Hmong community for Jesus Christ.  As the Hmong elders and leaders are passing, the dawn of a new era has come.  Let’s make the most of opportunities (Gal. 6:9-10).  Who will reach out to them?  Who will answer the call?  Who will be a partner in mission?
Twelve people answered Jesus’ call and the world has never become the same again.   There were one hundred twenty people on the Day of Pentecost who prayed and the church was born.  There were Twelve Tribes of Israel who became a nation of God holy people.  Together these peoples transformed the world. NHC calls for all our Hmong United Methodists and others for your partnership to help transform the Hmong community for Jesus Christ.  Below are ways you can help to make it happens:
  • Pastors – Need a minimum of 12 pastors (as the 12 disciples) to give 1.5% of their income or $300 for up to five year pledge.
  • Hmong Churches/Ministries – Need a minimum of 12 churches (as the Twelve Tribes of Israel) to give 2% of their annual budget.
  • Members – Need a minimum of 120 individuals or couples (as 120 people on the Day of Pentecost) to give 1.5% of their income or $300 for up to five year pledge.
Become a partner in mission. You are invited to be in partnership with National Hmong Caucus to reach 70% Hmong in the US who are unchurched and to start 12 new churches by 2020 in the US, as well as support oversea mission projects and pastoral training.  For information and support, click here for the Ministry Plan Brochure and the In Mission Together Pledge Form.

Training Hmong pastors in Vietnam and Laos.  NHC is partnering with General Board of Global Ministries and mission initiatives in Laos and Vietnam to train Hmong pastors.  Please pray for God's mission to the Hmong in Vietnam and Laos.  With God's help, the Vision 2020 for Hmong UMC is to have 300 churches  in Vietnam.
